8 July 2026
Take part in an exclusive roundtable discussion with leading voices from across the commercial development industry, including developers, architects, principal contractors, and washroom specialists.
This futuristic design conference is designed to encourage open, practical conversation, allowing you to share challenges, ask questions, and better understand the priorities and pressures faced by others involved in the commercial built environment.
Set against the backdrop of London’s skyline, the venue provides an inspiring environment for fresh thinking, with time built in for networking before and after the discussion, alongside a light breakfast on arrival.

What to expect from FDC26
This year, we will be holding two sessions:
Session 1: Forces Influencing Outcomes in the Built Environment Sector
This session is designed to uncover what truly influences decision-making across the built environment, drawing directly from the perspectives of architects, developers and contractors.
Through open discussion, delegates will explore the factors that most heavily impact the choices made throughout a project, whether driven by cost pressures, programme demands, risk management, compliance, client expectations or long-term asset performance. The session will look to distinguish between what is assumed to influence decisions and what genuinely does in practice.
By sharing real-world experiences, participants will surface the trade-offs, constraints and priorities that sit behind key decisions, from early design through to delivery. The aim is to build a clearer picture of the forces that consistently drive outcomes, and where greater alignment or challenge may be needed across the industry.
Session 2: Profitability Under Pressure: Key Risks Shaping Construction Today
This session turns the focus to profitability and the pressures currently testing it across the construction industry. Rather than looking at decision-making in general terms, we will explore where financial risk is most concentrated today and how that risk is actively changing the way projects are procured, delivered and managed.
Delegates will discuss the real constraints affecting margin: unpredictable cost escalation, programme uncertainty, contractual risk transfer, supply chain fragility, and the knock-on effects of increasingly complex compliance and sustainability requirements. The emphasis will be on what is actually driving protective behaviours and commercial caution across live projects.
By bringing together all perspectives, the session aims to surface where risk is being absorbed, where it is being pushed downstream, and how these dynamics are ultimately reshaping profitability across the sector. It will also work towards identifying practical opportunities to reduce unnecessary cost pressure and improve commercial outcomes, with the goal of creating more sustainable profitability across the industry.
