Located in the heart of Victoria, London, 10 Greycoat Place is a distinguished development offering 79,000 sq ft of premium workspace, retail space, and leisure across eight floors.

Originally constructed in 1899 as the Army and Navy Stores, this heritage building has been meticulously restored to preserve its architectural character while providing state-of-the-art office facilities.

The 10 Greycoat Place washroom project was led by the renowned architectural firm SPPARC.

Washroom project brief

The 10 Greycoat Place washroom project brief was to deliver high-end, contemporary commercial washroom facilities within the constraints of a historic building, ensuring a seamless blend of modern functionality and heritage aesthetics.

The commercial washroom design needed to incorporate premium special finishes, maintain accessibility for maintenance, and overcome spatial limitations while preserving the building’s character.

Collaboration with the construction team was essential to achieve a refined, durable, and visually cohesive result.

Washroom project challenge

The restoration of this historic building presented unique challenges. Working within the constraints of the original base build, which featured narrow spaces and confined layouts, required innovative washroom solutions.

Achieving a seamless integration of contemporary washroom facilities without compromising the building’s character was a key priority, and ensuring the perfect match of finishes across multiple elements was crucial to maintaining the high-end aesthetic.

The Dolphin solution

Dolphin Solutions collaborated closely with the construction team to overcome these challenges. Along with supplying premium commercial washroom products, the key solutions included:

  • Our Strataplate wall plate system was utilised to provide convenient front plate access, ensuring ease of maintenance while maintaining a sleek and modern appearance.
  • A combination of PVD Antique Bronze and Powder Coated Black special finishes were applied across fixtures and washroom accessories. These finishes not only complemented the building’s sophisticated design but also delivered durability and longevity.
  • Through close coordination with architects and contractors, we ensured that every commercial washroom detail aligned with the overall design vision, balancing functionality with aesthetic excellence.

The washroom project result

The completion of the 10 Greycoat Place washroom project is a testament to the successful transformation of a historic space into a luxurious and practical environment.

By integrating premium washroom fittings and innovative solutions, we contributed to the creation of washrooms that reflect the building’s heritage while meeting the demands of modern day users.

The project stands as a prime example of how thoughtful design and expert craftsmanship can deliver outstanding results in commercial spaces.
